Author Jamal Kanj gives an account of life in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. In his recent book "Children of Catastrophe: Journey from a Palestinian refugee camp to America," Kanj discusses the origins of the camp, the social structure and economics of the camp, and its ultimate destruction.
@Salamwamat I know Jamal Kanj's son, and the stories he's told me and the things he's shown me are 100% true. Just because you want to lie to yourself and pretend it's all "Lies", doesn't mean it is.

You're right. The tragedy is that no one knows the story, especially in the US where Israel has succeeded in creating the general US vision that Israel is heroic and advanced and Palestinians are basically terrorists who deserve what they have (and don't have). I hope your book will help spread the truth, but I have to say I'm not optimistic. Americans simply don't want to know.

I read this book recently, it was an eye opener. It is serious, entertaining and educational book. It is personal narrative within historical context. It was the part of history I avoided reading all my life. I am a new convert!
