  • @cliffwalkinfool i agree kieth moon was very overrated!!!! Ringo is by far the greatest rock drummer ever!! Gee all he di was get into the greatest rock band ever, then they break up and ringo puta out 4 very good albums, then gets into great movies like "caveman" then starts his own band "the all starr band" thats been together for the last 24 years! All these other drummers who are 100 times better then ringo, as soon as their bands break up they just are never heard of again!Ringo the man!

  • @matasanero if you replaced john bonham with barrymore barlow, you'd have a better led zep!!!!

  • Comparing replacing Mick to replacing Ringo is like comparing replacing Brad Pitt to replacing Zach Galifinakis.

  • Jimmy Nichols did all of the studio recording anyway because Ringo wasn't up to scratch, that's how he knew all the songs.

  • @SVLauren you lose one member, the sound completely changes. especially with ringo.

  • try replacing jeff porcaro, Neil Peart, John Bonham and tell me what you get!!!!

  • @rjtexas I agree. I agree. I agree. Ringo was not a great drummer: far from it. But The Beatles wouldn't have been The Beatles without him. He was the one Beatle that even my grandma could name.

Speaking of Keith Moon, Graham Chapman (Monty Python) has some great anecdotes about him regarding gin and blasting caps on the latter's LP. Also, a rock drummer (name forgotten) says Keith never practiced.

The Who is by far my favorite Rock band, they being: Keith, John, Roger, and Pete.

  • @dunskie

I am not trying to start a big argument but I think that it is more about chemistry. Look at Led Zeppelin, they did not continue without John Bonham; The Who were noticeably different (to put it mildly) without Kieth Moon, the Miles Davis Quintet was not the same after Philly Joe Jones left.
