I thought that she made some silly statements in that video but the point that she did kind of get across was that as a westerner, feminist or not, she has little influence over other cultures. For the most part the anti-islam stuff on YouTube is pure masturbation seeing how none of these liberal Canadian, European or American atheists are actually prepared to go and live in Saudi or Yemen or Afghanistan to 'enlighten' the locals.

BENY0HAMA, I've just discovered your channel and am so relieved that there are actually feminists who have the same views as I do on this issue. I think BoundlessEyes is a very intelligent person and I like a lot of her videos, but you have summed up my frustration towards lot of Western feminists in this video. They have effectively abandoned the people who need them most. Muslim women fighting for their rights need our support to give their movement actual legitimacy.

@cannedkitty - No. Women in Britain are being forced to wear the burqa, not just those in Afghanistan. No woman actually wears the burqa or hijab out of their own choice; it is their parents who introduce it to them at a young age, or husband who forces her to wear it. This pressure, combined with the persuasive words of Islamic clerics, manages to convince some women that they are wearing it out of their own choice.

She was responding to a video made by a British bigot who advocated a fascist and draconian position of targeting muslim women and their decision to culturally express themselves. She made a clear distiniction between those particular women and those who live in places like Afghanistan and are forced to wear burqas.
