On February 6, 2010, Fish Creek, Wisconsin held its annual Winterfest. Sweetie Pies, a little ma & pa pie shop, and Sustain Door, Inc. a sustainability action group, teamed up to challenge visitors and natives of the Fish Creek area to the Polar Bear Pie Tin Toss. For a small fee you had the chance to toss a pie tin into the mouth of our giant polar bear to win pie slices, cutie pies (little minis) or with three tins in the bear's tummy: a whole Sweetie Pie of your choice! We gave away 18 slices, 1 cutie pie and 4 whole pies and Sustain Door volunteers secured $381.00 for the Sustain Door fund. Everybody had fun - especially Vicky, one of the volunteers, who decided to enter the Snow Shoe Dance Off! Visit: sweetiepies.us and sustaindoor.org
