  • Cool - this is on Monette Prana B2 STC3

Do we need that note? Not but its fun...

  • wat mouthpiece size did u use 4 this vid?

  • Its a Monette B2 Prana - on this clip it is an STC3 Weight - but i normally use a standard STC1 weight.

  • amazing.... how do u get so high? im an eighth grader and i can barely get high a. can u give me some advice on how to improve my range?

  • The best thing to do is to play quietly and learn how to control the intensity of air as a result.

From there make sure you listen to lots of players and get the sound in your head.

    Thanks for checking it out!

  • @pascalio95 im a 7th grader and i can play high B :) just keep practicing what i did is try to hold high G# for as long as i can that way my lips can get used to it and it became ezer for me to hit the higher notes like right now im trying to play a high c but i cant hit it eventually i will and ill try to hold that note out

  • @bigholeproductions I do agree with the the supposed requirements being ridiculous, I would guess that he only means C just above the staff. It's just that you saying that no lead player would ever play a triple C was incorrect and the comment about the A was misleading. It made it seem like that was the highest that music ever got.

  • @Deathwish42 Yeah I know it happens but it shouldn't be a requirement to get into jazz band. Maybe to play lead, but if he didn't specify that he wants to play lead. 4th trumpet part will never approach anywhere near a double C.

  • @bigholeproductions I have heard one professional jazz player use a triple C in a piece of music one time, it is rare but it did happen at least once. Double C's happen all the time in jazz though.

  • @Goku49extra That is ridiculous. No lead trumpet player in a jazz band would attempt a triple C ever. Even if you are referring to double C, I mean, I play lead and I can't hit that consistently even. The highest note I've ever seen was an optional octave jump to an A over high C and that was in a mexican song, aka the highest music ever.

  • @pascalio95 dont practice all high notes, if all you do is high notes your tone with start to go down the tiolet, so use all ranges double lows and double highs are great warm ups.

  • You know your stuff :)

    good job

  • I'm pretty sure dolphins are the only things that cab hear the last part

  • almost killed the camera. nice!

  • amazing high notes
