Motorola radios rock ! Good reliable solid state radio gear. Motorola have made some pretty decent phones too, one of my best mobile phones was a 3W Motorola Transportable on the analogue network. In some ways far more reliable than digital, had a lot more grunt for starters.

@tvtechnicaldirector what are the settings of the DOS to get it to chirp like that?
-
Analog sounds better than digital.

I can teach you on MSN

@MTP750 Ok, maybe I'm stupid but I can't figure this out. I set the signal mode to MDC, can't figure out the 1200 part. Still no chirp.
-
You must set mdc1200 and set signal on tx page
-
What is the ASTRO MODE quick sounds? And how to set it?

Does anyone know how to activate the enhanced digital ID on the xts 5000 model I in conventional mode? I want mine to chirp

@lildany300 If you're referring to the MDC chirp at the beginning of the video, that's the sound of the radio muting the rest of the MDC1200 PTT-ID signal. Motorola calls it DOS or Data Operated Squelch. You can set it to be loose or tight depending on how much of the MDC 'screech' you'd like to hear.

Is the Rolex interfaced with the XTS's? I can't get my Omega Seamaster to interface with my HT1000's....

@ve3xtr Ah, I believe it's an 'SP' part from Motorola. Call the Motorola CGISS division and ask them about the Chronometer interoperability module. ;)
