Finally together, Nick and Sierra agreed to take it slower this time. Nick did not want to make any more mistakes. Kevin and Nikki were getting along great and Lizzie and Sierra always talked about how great they were together. And usually when the others were around. Kevin always smiled and agreed aloud and Nikki usually proceeded with a kiss. They rarely argued and Nikki always understood about the crazy schedules. Even when the year came to an end, and the six of them knew the Jonas Brothers were going on tour again.
Joe: It's been one crazy year.
Elizabeth: Good? Bad?
Joe: Mostly good. Especially seeing you almost every day.
Elizabeth: I'm going to miss you...
Joe: You can still come on tour with us. The offer is still open.
Elizabeth: I don't know...I'd love to, but Sierra hasn't heard from that guy at Hollywood Records in a month and she's planning a debut album.
Joe: That's her plan. What's yours? Liz you gotta stop living Sierra's life. What's your dream? What's in your future?
Elizabeth shrugged. Joe kissed her on the cheek and left to get his stuff ready for the tour, which would start in one week. There was a lot to do before then and they wanted everything ready early so they wouldn't miss their last few days. Kevin and Nikki had already parted that day and Kevin was busy packing his stuff from his room. Nick walked in.
Nick: Hey Kevin?
Kevin: Yeah? *looks up*
Nick: Can I ask you something?
Kevin: Sure.
Nick: How do you know if you found the right person?
Kevin: Well, you just kind of know. I suppose you're talking about Sierra?
Nick: Yeah.
Kevin: Well, you love her, she understands and respects your career, and no matter what, you always seem to fit together perfectly. The only thing you need to know now, is this: Will you always love her no matter what?
Nick: Of course.
Kevin: Well I think it's right then.
Nick: Thanks Kevin...
Kevin: No problemo.
Later that afternoon, Joe and Kevin met in town, wearing hoods and sunglasses. They were dressed like rappers really. But once they arrived at the jewelry store, they took off their disguises. Luckily, the jeweler didn't recognize them.
Jeweler: May I help you?
Joe: I'm looking for something for my girlfriend.
Jewelery: Ah and how much are you willing to spend?
Joe: Well price isn't really that big a deal..
The jeweler became a little suspicious, thinking maybe they robbed a bank or something. But Joe explained who they were and showed him their CD.
Jeweler: Ah yes. Well then, Mr. Jonas, what do you have in mind?
Joe: Well...maybe a necklace and earrings?
Jeweler: Diamonds, crystal, gold?
Joe: Hmm...what do you think Kev?
Kevin: *staring at another showcase* Huh, what?
Joe: Which do you think Lizzie would like, diamonds, gold or crystal?
Kevin: Uh diamonds...
Joe: Okay...I'll go with the diamonds.
The jeweler took Joe in the back to look at some jewelery and Kevin walked over to a specific showcase. He looked over everything in it and sighed. What would Nikki want? Not just diamonds or gold, but what specifically? For life?
Joe came back after a few moments and stared at Kevin. He walked over and tapped Kevin's shoulder.
Joe: Kev. What are you doing?
Kevin: Looking around at possibilities.
Joe: Engagement rings? Kevin-
Kevin: I know...but I really love her. I'm in my twenties now and I think it's a good time to think about this.
Joe: But Kevin-
Kevin: I want to marry Nikki.
Joe: Are you sure?
Kevin: Yeah. I've got everything planned.
Jeweler: Would you like any help?
Kevin: Can I see that ring?
