Actually every genre has it. Doesn't matter if you like it, you like it! I like both but prefer santigold more so because of melodic elements and the different styles she incorporates in her music!

Arguing about whether or not Santigold sounds like or doesn't sound like another artist doesn't really prove and/or change anything, so what is the point of even commenting about it.

Not to mention the fact that Santigold and MIA frequently collaborate..PROBABLY because they both make similar music. The one thing I hate about "indie" music fans, is they constantly argue over who is more original or who is a copy-cat. That is something you really don't see in any other genre fan-base..it drives me absolutely nuts..
