@DaleStiles You don't push the pin all the way out, just most of it and enough for the chain to come apart. The pin should be (barely) sticking in one side, ready to be pushed back through the chain. Hope this helps.
Got it out no problem, couldn't get the pin in a position to use the tool to put it back on. Any tips on that? It looked like your pin was just sitting there waiting to be put back in the hole. My pin seems to be bigger than the hole.
