Since the group's formation on August 1998, it has performed and propagated an aspect of the diverse Filipino musical culture at civic functions and other occasions that include entertaining the less fortunate and in welcoming visiting dignitaries. This include playing for 3 living Philippines Presidents.
The FilAm Veterans Rondalla have also championed the cause of directly helping our marginalized kababayan in the Philippines via the Bantay Bata 163,the Gawad Kalinga, Outreach Asia and in boosting the morale of American and Philippines' heroes in uniform fighting the war against global terror. FVR has also been involved in helping the victims of various catastrophes which hit the US, Philippines and several South Asian countries.

I've met them and played with them in 2004 when I was in San Francisco with my own rondalla. Philippine Rondalla of Chicago. We've all separated but still keep in touch..
