You want to make the big bucks as an Architect ? Here's the steps:

1)Get into a GOOD University.

2)During your studies, always keep your GPA above 3.6.

3)Make a review, do research and other ECs while in the school year.

If you respect these 3 steps, you will get into a Top firm and start with around 60k to see it reach 130k/year in 10 years.
