@YukkuriAteMyBaby Exaggeration is may be in “completely wrecked the car” part, because it takes explosive for that, but amount of propellant to accelerate grenade before jet engine kicks in is enough to kill all people inside the taxi. Transforming back-blast into water impulse is a clever solution, but I wouldn’t fire AT4CS from 2-3 cub meters of a car either, even if opposite window was opened.

@jimmyn89SWE and russia no launch rpg-7v2 for fun

@TATARSTAN59500 Well of course, the RPG-7 has been produced in larger quantites, is used by more countries and has been in service a lot longer. The AT4 entered service in 1986 while the RPG-7 entered service in 1961. And the AT4 has mainly been used in wars where the enemy mainly consist of insurgent groups, like the war in Afghanistan for example. The RPG-7 on the other hand has often been used in conventional wars against armies with tanks and vehicles and so on.

for moment its rpg-7 kill more vehicle and person

@TATARSTAN59500 The At4 has a higher effective range, higher muzzle velocity (projectile speed) and weighs less, you don't have to carry around ammunition. You can arm every soldier in a squad with an at4. And it can be complemented with reloadable anti tank weapons such as the Carl Gustav. Also a successor to the At4 has been developed, NLAW or MBT LAW, with top attack mode that gives it the ability to take out a modern mbt in a single hit.

@YukkuriAteMyBaby There's a video floating around showing an recent Arab rebel stood behind an RPG-7 when it fired. Of course he got hit by the backblast, in the head, then drop to the ground immediately, motionless. He was then dragged to cover.
From the vid, he had no obvious injuries: no crushed, deformed skull or even blood. No burn injuries seen as well.
It's more like a giant, blunt mallet hit in really hard.
But yeah, you definitely don't want to be in that blackblast

@YukkuriAteMyBaby There were stories during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan of scores of Mujahedeen being hurt because they did not know that they should fire with an open space behind them and no body parts are exposed to it (i.e. when firing from prone, the legs should be away from the end of the RPG.

@huxflux3 captain obvious
@Ahamster1 There's a story in the British Army about the PIRA trying to take out a British position by firing an RPG-7 from a moving vehicle. A single window on a passing taxi dropped, out popped the business end of an RPG and, seconds later, the entire vehicle filled with flames and exploded as the backblast completely wrecked the car. Granted, these kinda stories are often exaggerated but, even so, the backblast on an RPG is definitely something to watch out for.
