A group of students from the Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program are launching a Public Service Announcement (PSA) targeted at educating the consumer about where their food comes from and the safety of their food supply.
The Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program(IALP) has provided for and strengthened agricultural leadership since its founding in 1981. The mission of the IALP is to develop knowledgeable and effective spokespersons to become policy and decision-makers for the agricultural industry.
Brad Baker, a member of IALP says, "It has come to the attention of many Midwestern agribusiness people that our industry is under attack by people outside of the industry. We have decided to create a campaign to properly educate the public and consumer."
"I'm a farmer. Caring for the environment is a way of life that practice every day to make sure the land is left better than I found it. That is what this campaign is all about." Dean Werries a Concord, IL farmer and IALP member said.
Great take on how important farmers in the Midwest are to the production of food.
