@ 5:45 you have a wheel on a handheld electric fan. its an oscilator. it starts with an electric motor its just going through mechanical and optical before going back to electrical. so yes you are using an electric oscilator and its built into a motor circuit. the audio frequency your hearing in Hz is the number of lines on the disk multiplied by the rpm of the motor multiplied by 60. no bullspit. try it.

no, there are no oscillators in the lunaphone. frequency of light = frequency of air pressure movement .thats where the sound comes from..as it says.. the raw sound of the star is then modulated in various ways. but there are no oscilators... no light = no sound
