Clownfish Fighting 2

This is what happens when you buy multiple clownfish that are the same size- they have to fight for dominance- if you buy 2 that arent a mated pair make sure one is smaller than the other- theyll still establish dominance but will be only a few small spats instead of them beating each other up for prolonged time frame. I bought my true percs as a mated pair-never fought once, theyve never left each other while awake and since the anemone got introduced they sleep together in it every night.

did they ever eventually get along or did u have to seperate them? im glad mine didnt fight.

you should to separate them into 2 tanks..

They are competing because none of them wants to be the male, because the male is smaller

Basically this is it. All this particular video is most likely irresponsible stocking. Clowns live in groups They go on a dominance system, the little males will turn into a female when they are the most dominant clown in the group ( tank ) when pairing it is normal to see aggression such as some nipping, poking and flashing to set the dominance order, but when you throw two females together they will both fight to possibly kill unless one is completely beat and manages to turn back into a male.

uh, yeah you can.
all you people's ignorance amazes me. This is life, it happens and it will correct itself. Nothing to worry about the 2 fish that are fighting arent neccesarily 2 females the female might not have accepted the breeding male just yet. Give it time
