@V3ryan I’ve only properly looked at this song today because it is being sung at a funeral this week. I think these words are taken from Job 1 v 21….The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the Name of the Lord be praised.” God gave a life and God took a life but we can still sing ‘blessed be the Name of the Lord’ particularly as the person who died is now in heaven.

It's taken me almost 3yrs to be able to say '' my heart choses to say blessed be your name'' following a very distressing sad loss of my baby grandson being still born at full term. :-( He gives and takes away, and sometimes we dont understand why?! BUT today I say Blessed be your name, though there's pain in the offerring, as that disciple said to Jesus, 'where else can I go Lord? You hold the keys to eternal life' I DO love you Jesus, and sorry for the wasted yrs.♥
