yeah they are specially armed and the only officers permitted to carry guns they have many roles, protecting VIP's, airport security and as you said, anti-terrorism

they are the reason we can walk the streets at night, wat they do takes courage and resilience, they deal with some of the most gruesome crimes yet work through it and still show up the next day to do it all again

these people are standing up to the knife weilding, drug taking scum who give britain a bad name.

yes some may overstep their powers and im not saying that its ok but most police are loving people with families to look after just like the rest of us.

One of my best mates is Police in NSW Australia. He deals with the dregs of society each and every day, has been shot at, spat on, abused, and thumped. Yet he is the guy that would run into a burning building to save the bastard that spat on him yesterday. So to all you small minded, gutless internet wonders, that want to slag on those that would help you regardless of your inane comments - grow up you and get a life. You make me ( and more likely the rest of normal society ) sick !! Fools

@millward1988 You're complaining about the police when it's clearly not their fault. Who is to fault is the government, they make up some retarded laws and police need to enforce them. The police enforce them, then it's down to the court, so blame the court instead. Maybe you need to get some brains.
