  • I have a good friend that is a SDA (I am a Messianic). We study together often, we also study with JWS, and Mormans and other Christians. I tell my friend often to be careful from anyone who claims to have all the truth. I don't deny that some of this might be true but I disagree with SDA's say about the law of Moses, the church replaces Israel, and other misunderstandings of YHWH's commands (Torah - instructions in righteousness) not just the Ten Commandments.

  • hi!

    God says come out.

  • recently I was watching a 3ABN broadcast from the conference in Australia. The speaker said This is really important gowith mr to Malachi 4:4-6 when hear started to talk again he realized he made a mistake. He started in verse 5 instead of verse 4 diligeratly skipping the "Remember the law of Moses" Why do SDA's teach against the law of Moses?

  • that is a very good question. Looking at that verse, I've wondered the same thing.

  • Yes, from vs. 1 it is obviously talking about "that day" and Mashiach will bring people back to obeying the law of Moses and he told us to look back in John 5:46-47.

  • right now I think you're right about this. I am praying on this and seeing if it can be straightened out in my head. thank you for your insights

  • While the prophesy ultimately speaks of the end time, it sounds like Malachi is saying to Israel to "Remember the law of Moses", not to forsake His sacrificial law with His statutes & judgments, which pictures the coming Savior. Malachi lived around 400 BC., 400-odd years still of being tutored by the Mosaic law (Gal 3:24-25), which was necessary until Christ.

  • I dont know the circumstances or contextually why he would have skipped it. The law of Moses, or the laws that Moses wrote in "the book of the law," were the laws that foreshadowed the death of Christ, such as the feast days like passover, unleavened bread and firstfruits, meats and drink offerings and animal sacrifices. But these were done away with when Christ (whom they foreshadowed) came in person. See Heb 10:1 and Col 2:14-16.

I do not know why most of Christian worship on sunday instead saturday?

Wenn about prophecy, I get the Prophecy r from SDA not from christian Pastors.

Tell me what is wrong with SDA ?

  • But what exactly is the unique information those shadow feasts give us that you believe He does not give us anywhere else?

  • Simply put, Jesus will fulfill the Fall Feasts in His 2nd coming. If we do not know what these Feasts are, how can we WATCH as instructed? We have throw away ALL the teachings of the Feasts and now are left ignorant of how to interpret much of His Word. Please watch the video Easter vs First Fruits to see how Jesus FULFILLS the Spring Feasts in His 1st coming. He will fulfill the Fall Feasts in His 2nd coming, but we remain ignorant of how to understand them because we ignore the old testament

  • I understand that some today feel we should still be observing these shadow days.

It is clear to me when Paul says let no one judge you, it is because we know the real substance is Christ, which we now have, the use for those shadows is past.

To those who insist that we observe shadows, I would ask what do those shadow days add to us, now that we have Jesus and His perfect sacrifice for our sins, His Holy Spirit to guide us in His will, and Revelation about the end of this age?

  • The sacrificial law, the book of the law, was against us (Deut 31:26, Eph 2:15). The blood of bulls and goats could never take away our sin, until Christ we were still in our sins. The sacrificial law was a shadow of things to come (Heb 10:1), but the body, the real substance, is Christ.

Now that we have the real substance, Christ, let no one judge you in meat or drink or holy days or new moons or feast days, which are shadows, but the real substance is Christ.

  • Col 2:14, 16-17: "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."

  • Yeshua (Jesus) fulfilled the Spring Feasts in His 1st coming - (Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost) and He will fulfill the FALL Feasts to the exact days also. The Grape Harvest is throughout the book of Revelation. He will fulfill Yom Teruah (blowing of the Trumpets), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and Feast of Tabernacles (live with HIm for 1000 years). Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

  • Could God's people make to the end times if they did not first remember the law of Moses, which was their schoolmaster for approx 400 more years from Malachi's time until Christ?

  • Well if you read from Malachai 4:1-5 you will see that what you said does not line up because it is clearly speaking of end times.
