  • Wow. I don't know that I've seen any AS&J since it was first on the air 30+ years ago. I cried for a sold day when Pete Duel died. He was one of my first real crushes. Nice work. You captured some beautiful shots of him, and your vid reminded me of the wonderful relationship between Heyes and Curry. Thanks!

  • they showed the series again on the Westerns channel last year, I think (and the Westerns channel is gone now). After seeing it again, I can tell you I still love it as much as I did the first time, same as S&H:) And yeah, Pete Duel - I was pretty young at the time, couldn't understand what had happened, but it took awhile to get over it.

  • Well done! But it was surprisingly hard to watch, even after all these years. Such a waste. That Duel so convincingly played a happy, optimistic character says a lot about his fine acting skills. A line from Milton I think explains how someone who seemed to have it all could be so desperately unhappy:

The mind is it's own place, and can make a heaven of hell, or a hell of heaven.

    Best Wishes

  • Thank you. I know what you mean - truly a tragedy.

  • I have DVD of Alias Smith & Jones season 1, but I'm seeing YouTube vids from season 2. Where is everyone getting them from? I've been waiting for season 2 DVD to come out but no luck. These 2 guys (esp. Pete) were my favorite western stars when I was a teen fan.

  • there used to be a Westerns channel, I think it was part of Encore cable, and they showed ASJ all the time. I don't think they're still in existence, though.

  • I loved this show. I liked both actors but I thought Pete Duel was absolutely dreamy.

  • I have never gotten over Pete's death & never will. I was only 15 when he died but he was my 1st love/crush. Loved this show & loved Pete & Ben. Thank you so much for the memories and putting the scenes of my favorite actors/show together with my favorite band. Awesome video! Thanks for the memories although I want to cry as well as laugh especially at this last scene with both trying not to laugh as they filmed it. R.I.P. Pete. We will always love you.

  • I ove this! I was so in love with Pete Duel!! Thank you so much!

  • I loved this! Thank you!!

  • It's been almost 40 years ago, but I still remember going to school just a few days after his death still crying. Pete Duel was my first crush. So glad to see these old clips of him again.

  • That slo mo shot of Pete flipping over from his back to his belly with his gun in his hand is soooo sexy. It tears me up when I watch it. Thank you for making this, from the bottom of my Pete obsessed heart. I think I'll watch again. ;)

  • They're Wanted Men! Yeah, I want them! ha! They are both gorgeous! Pete is my favorite though. LOVE THEM!

  • They haven't played this in my area (Texas Metroplex) for TOO LONG. That and Laredo I would like to see again.

  • Thank you for sharing this video. Alias Smith and Jones was my favorite show until Pete Duel left this world. When my parents told me about his death, I was in mourning for a long time. I think I was about 11 at the time. Some of us girls at school played bank robbers, and I was Hannibal Hayes. I couldn't do so after he was gone. We miss you, beautiful Pete Duel!

  • Still a great show! If you live in the Seattle area they are now playing Alias Smith and Jones on a new station called RTN(Retro Television Network.)
