21st Century medicine with18th century method: Leeches

NOTE: This vid is not for the squeemish. If you don't like blood dripping, gooey bugs and other gross stuff then don't watch. You'll see the leech grow. The actual treatment lasted about 10 minutes. Background: A tornado hurled sheetmetal at a friend of mine and whacked off an ear. Surgeons re-attached the ear then applied a regular treatment of leeches to help re-establish blood circulation. A couple of years later and you can hardly tell he ever lost the ear!
