News Update: Societe Generale Fined 1.6 Million Pounds By UK Financial Services Authority

"Societe Generale was fined around 1.6 million pounds by the U.K. Financial Services Authority for failing to provide accurate transaction reports to the regulator.

The FSA said that over a two-year period, the bank neglected to provide accurate information on around 80% of the 23.5 million transactions that should have been reported under U.K. rules.

According to the regulator, it is the sixth case in the last year in which it has taken action against a company for not complying with the rules.
