do you need a CPL or just an agro rating to do that?
-
@pwnage0013 Some do.
-
@spitoinkr Yes you can, I've done it. Go get in a turbine Cat sometime and try it... it CAN be done.

@ skillet, the pilot had the ability to precisely control the output pressure of the pump, and yes, depending on nozzle size you can hit your gallon per acre Target
-
How can you spread 5 or 10 gallons water over an acre? Is is through nozzle size reduction or what?
Great video. Thanks for sharing.

wingover >90degrees

who the f**k would name an aircraft Thrush?

That is possibly the most fun jobs I have ever had, it is basically your job to play for 8-10 hrs a day. And it is even more fun when your friends come out to watch and you "accidentally" spry their car .. With that maneuver, what I would do is basically a Hammerhead , Pitch up near vertical and stomp the rudder. God I miss that!
No, not wingovers at all - fairly standard racetrack pattern in an Ayres Turbo Thrush.
Remember watching my old man and a few other aggies almost stall turning AT-502's in western NSW Australia many years ago. The AT-802 was a beautiful thing to watch at work.

Wing overs it is, mate. It's a climbing descending turn with 90deg bank. And you can't make a turnaround in 11-12 seconds in a normal turn with that speed, the G-s will be too much.
