@pspheaven, @bruisedprostate I chose fast and easy hacking on purpose. I wanted something fun, not politically correct. My goal was to be obnoxious and campy, hence the silly features like representing a hacked computer with lightning bolts. :)

@pspheaven later on they can learn more about anyhack, but it all starts with an easy to use tool ;). My first hacking attemps were cracking a WEP Wlan, i didnt crack it till now tough, but i can learn it. Since i started pentesting with OS, i think i learnd more about IT-security than anywhere else. I hate to see how attemps to make a bigger hacker society aren't accepted by the hacker society.

@pspheaven I think hacking starts with need to know something better and trying to find new borders. If someone harms anyone or just wants to learn, is his own choice. If anyone wants to be a scriptkiddie well there they go. I use Armitage alot in my own private network and i wouldnt hack any Server in the WAN.

I still think he is one of the better hacker, because to get new members of the hacker society you need to make it attractive and easy. Just remember how did you start.

@darkdiabolica I think its the "fast and easy hacking" part that pisses them off.. Hacking originally is not illegal and he's showing it as more of a... anyone can now "hack" into networks easily...

I hate that part too, fast and easy hacking... :?! That does nothing more than attract people who want to do harm... Fast and Easy pen testing would've been better.

in the presentation i saw some people booing about armitage, i also think this makes hacking easier, but everything can be used in 2 ways: doing damage or preventing damage.

also the HAIL MARY demo showed how powerful armitage is.

so if you say armitage makes hacking easy you also need to say that it is an extreme strong tool. what ever you use it for is your own buisness.
