Moving On

This is a short film I made as my final in my "Moving Image Production" class (unpretentious translation: "How to Make Films" class). Forgive my horrid acting, my uncle however does a great job. I used this primarily as an opportunity to work on cinematography and writing dialogue.

i enjoyed it, especially "happy retirement frank" idk why but i thought it was so funny in a dark twisted way. At the beginning of that shot I was like, "ugh, you cant see his face, what an awful camera angle" but then i understood why very soon after. I really loved the view of Chicago you had.  It was awesome!

The reason I did that shot that way is because I had to hide the fact that I didn't have any makeup or a gun (nor were we allowed to show guns, even).

Wow, I'm extremely flattered that you used my music. This was really awesome, and you nailed the "Scorseseness", the dialogue was good, the cinematography good, and your apartment is awesome. You're uncle is really good, and so are you, you just are in his shadow, thats all.

yeah, I just wanted some non-copyrighted music to play over the credits. Sorry I didn't ask you, but I didn't think you would mind (especially since it plays for less than 30 seconds). I'm glad you liked it.

well i got that after I watched the shot, it was just an initial thing and you took it away immediately with the flash and gunshot and stuff and I no longer thought it was an awful shot, instead I thought it was a clever shot

Thats what was good about it, but you wanted some criticism so I will try and oblige.

I thought some of the cuts could have been faster in the first dialogue where he is looking out the window. A couple shots it was like, okay start talking..... now. But it wasnt too bad or distracting

Oh and you could have cleaned the sink before filming! haha!

Overall I enjoyed it!
