That's funny considering he wrote it.

Also, is the mandolin audio in this video electric, acoustic, or a combination of the two? It sounds more electrified. If the mandolin audio is electric, I'd love to hear it fully acoustic.

I think the "break out" mandolin part was actually after the first chorus.

Surely, he recognizes the true GENUIS of his earlier work. I think one of the reasons he focuses on his newer work in shows is because it is more based on his recent guitar styling.

I really like when you first break out on the mandolin after the first verse. Your mandolin adaption of this song, another one of my favorite JM songs, is FANTASTIC! I've seen John many times and have yet to hear him play "New Deep." It's doubtful that he'll play it in the future too unless he has an odd inclination to or sees a fan's poster and then performs it in an impromptu manner. John doesn't delve into his old catalogue much, except for the hits and more familiar songs.

How much was your Mandolin?

Err it's a cheap one unfortunately... about 200 dollars, maybe a little less. And it's acoustic electric, so the value of the acoustic part is even less I suppose.
