Our brains are constructed in such a way, that it does not differentiate between what is real and what is virtual. The anxiety that is felt during a high adrenalin rush is the same whether real or imagined. Our children's minds are so sensitive, and it is our duty to shield them from this unnecessary madness. The games console manufacturers only care about shifting units, they know the more gory the game, the more negative publicity the game will get, and consequently the more it will sell. They are really Playing Satan Personally.
The lines between reality and virtually reality is constantly being blurred. Tv shows are being produced — like Medium, Born Identity and Heroes — where normal believeable people (the man next door) have somehow acquired superpowers. These shows do not come under the normal heading of sci-fi as they once would, the producers have moved into a more phantasy realm. Now you have young people acting and believing that they can defy the laws of gravity, or tune in on other peoples thoughts, stop time, or are indestructible.
We are being steered and geared for a retrograde motion by the Society. The TV and the console is where the war game is being played out against us. Our foes know that we have a spiritual side that needs to be fed. This is role of their phantasy food such as Heroes. It is an attempt to confuse our spiritual side into thinking that it has been satisfied. With our minds locked in to "virtual reality" posing as "reality" we are immobillised from the struggle of life. We have been tricked out of spirituality by way of phantasy! The arch deciever can then reign in peace knowing that we cannot even access our Divine potential because we are too busy fantasising.
i have been brought up very well and i have played games and watched violet films such as these, but i didnt turn out as a bad seed, if you restrict your kids from things like these instead of teaching them they will only be the more curious when they see it happening around them, eventually they will rebel and it wount be pretty. if they dont see these things happen and learn that it is wrong from you they will fall into many mistakes and some unreversable i know this from experience

@Blatenly There is nothing wrong with playing computer games. There is however, no need for children to play games where the object is to kill, bomb, shoot, stab, etc. in graphic detail. This is precisely what the games of today offer.
Wii type games controllers are all the rage right now, and games like tennis where the player doesn't even need to move, is damaging children's perception of reality. Children will always rebel and make mistakes, we don't need to ban PSP for that.

@Blatenly It's all good! and no. I didn't see what you said as being disrespectful in any way. No need for an apology! Questions are for asking, and for those seeking answers. Especially the hard ones asked in a direct way! :0)

i know this is old, but i had to reply, i am a christian myself, but you have to understand that these are different times, i am not saying that because it is the word of god is nulified but you cant say you will blame only media, yes the media has a huge influence on people but it is also the parents job to teach their children "this is wrong", "this is the way", "this is not real". games do have their age ratings if you ignore them then you have a reason to say its the games fault, thats wrong

@Blatenly Its all good and well going by the age rating as an adult, however, the children are not concerned with age ratings. They are busy swapping with their friends behind your back. So those nice "safe" games that you bought them, are switched for the "18" rated ones full of the blood and gore. Yes the media has a lot to answer for with multimillion dollar advertising campaigns to capture their innocent minds.
