How to make a relay. A coil is wrapped around a nail to make the electromagnet. The switch is a piece of wire which connects when a magnetic field is present.

  • Is that magnet wire or copper wire? I want to do my own coils but not sure if copper wire would work(much cheaper).

  • @pithikoulis As long it is enameled each coil seperated from the rest.
