This podcast from the Office for National Statistics explains how savings are divided into property, finanical and pension wealth.

It shows the differences in the level of savings for households where the head is in different age groups. Finally it looks at older households, where the head is aged 50 to 64, and how savings are divided up.


the earnings for those with a degree and those without differed over the last decade.

It then shows how earnings increase for those at different ages, before looking at the earnings between men and women, the type of degree studied and the gender pay gap.

  • Excellent, very clear. Did statistics like these influence Gordon Brown's thinking when he looted private pension funds?
