nice playing. that brings back memories. i sang ( or pretended to sing ) it in a church choir when i was a wee lad living in michigan. i forget a lot of the words to it. i think the song is structured as if it were sung by a boy who plays a drum in front of the christ child. i think the boy talks about the fine gifts that others gave to christ, and the boy says that the boy couldn't give anything other than a song, and the boy mentions using a drum during the song that the boy sang to christ.

Something like that. The Line that the Little Drummer Boy says to Christ is I have no gift to bring par-rump-ah-pum-pum that's fit to give a king par-rump-ah-pum pum... shall I play for youpar.... on my drum?
