Who would have thought that pieces of cloth could expose the fragility of an entire civilisation and pose an existential threat? Yet they have, by virtue of their being symbols of Islam."

I'm not a Moslem. I'm just a typical southern white girl from the states. And I believe wholeheartedly that a woman (or a man) should be able to wear a veil in public if she (or he) so chooses. I'm sick to death of liberty dying at the hands of 'security'. How much security is really gained in this? Compare that to the HUGE amount of LIBERTY LOST. Enough already!

Why are millions of Muslim Women still living the exact ,if not a worse life now days under the new Afghani government?.....The media spent billions on the Burqa- oppression? multi billions on the drug trade and now still moving as good as ever!....this war on Islam will continue until the west is satisfied, and that will only happen if Muslims leave their religion....inshallah it will never happen.

Great efforts indeed, but please do not forget to fight against brutal Talibans in Afghanistan who kept millions of muslim woman captive in the name of Islam. To protect those helpless muslim women, western powers have to send their troops and unfortunately their efforts are being ignored by you guys.
