Here at The Crypt Sessions, we love you so much, we're breaking all our own rules to bring you the perfect Valentine's Day gift. That's right, not only have we asked one of our previous artists to record another session but we've amped up for the occasion, too.

Shona Foster was the star of our very first Crypt Session and what a brilliant one it was, the Brighton-based singer stunning us with the control and lustre of her exceptional voice and the unique, burlesque seduction of her song-writing. Since then, Shona and her band have been hard at work recording their mesmerising debut album, The Moon And You, which has just been released to overwhelming critical acclaim. Q Magazine gave it 4 stars, the Daily Mirror reckoned Shona's 'A truly haunting force to be reckoned with', while XYZ Magazine rated the album 10/10 and called it, 'A master-class of instrumentation and arrangement'.

To celebrate the release of The Moon And You, we asked Shona if she'd record another Crypt Session for us. She agreed on the condition that she could bring her entire band with her this time and that they were allowed to plug into their amps. Well, who were we to argue the toss? Anyway, rules are meant to be broken and, as we're sure you'll agree, it was worth the indulgence. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone
