Personally, I don't care if it's a hoax. This bird deserves to fly, and if she's not airworthy now, make her so.
I have a 4 way tie for my favorite aircraft. CH-53E (personal bias, I am a Warhorse forever), SR-71, F-14, and the Victor. 3 of these may never fly again, and I just hope I haven't cursed the Super Stallion with my loyalty.

should have flown a go around on the basis of safety lol.......I reckon they did it for the blast, and as we know the old fella was a veteran and probably fancied a final hoot :D

What a superb shape, so diferent. I love it.

The old man wanted one last time at the controls, could you resist.I would have done it.
-
... I told him to do it...

Yeah big cock up. A little bit of flap selected ... windy/gusting conditions..... nosewheel lifts (not unusual on a fast taxi & probably intentional).... luck to escape without damaging a priceless beauty. Still good to see the old girl where she belongs - in the air.

Im no pilot but it looked a pretty sloppy bit of flying!
This was an awesome aircraft, in its day....

Yep its the real deal

I have spoken to the chap who was sitting in the right hand seat and have absolutely no doubt he froze and this was an unintentional flight.

It's WRONG that we ground beautiful icons like this which represent the 'Great' in the Great Britian..!! Personally, my heart LEPT for joy at seeing this beauty take to the air - a big UP YOURS to the Criminals Against Aviation (CAA) and their namby pamby frikin rules..!! Stuff em - were i at the controls of this bomber i know which two targets i'd have lined up in my sights, offices in London and Gatwick..!! European Health & Safety & political frikin correctness - Huh..!
