Normally, the Koreans dominate this title but this year Apolo would have none of it as he reclaimed the throne and placed the USA on top --- snatching the World Champion title right on Korean soil, ouch!

Apolo's individual wins:
500m Finals (Gold Medal)
1,000m Finals (Silver Medal)
3,000m super Final (Bronze Medal)

World Championships (March 7-9), South Korea, Short Track Speedskating season-ender showdown against top international contenders. As Apolo raced among some newer world class athletes & other notably worthy opponents - the competitions were filled with tension, excitement & an overwhelming eagerness to become the next 2008 World Champion. USA FTW!

about video-Kyung-Taek Song wanted, so badly, to qualify for the next round (Finals), that he almost did the 'splits' trying to get his foot across the finish line! That little dance worked, and placed him second, right after Francois-Louis Tremblay. Apolo was disqualified. However, he won a gold medal in the 1500m category and also earned a bronze medal for the world championships overall results (most points scored - top three).
