More combination of some preset form & spontaneous movement.
My practice & training has mostly been based in Tai Chi, Yiquan, Qigong and some Baguazhang. I am especially in love with wuji qigong - standing meditation & Yiquan. And practice arts I do from essence of these in many ways.
The simple clips I have posted are not intended as formal representations of any one specific, technical art. And are of spontaneous practice expressed at a faster pace than my normal practice, which tends to be much slower as I feel much benefit from somatically aware, slow practice. Helps to refine sensitivity, equilibrium & an alive spirit satisfied with the now.
Rather they are simply spontaneous enjoyments of what could be considered hybrid, fluid movement based in foundations of my practice of Tai Chi, Yiquan, Qigong and to lesser extent various styles of dance & yoga. And simply playfulness which has no set form.
I also do not consider myself a "master" of qigong, yiquan or tai chi. Such a term can imply a finished place of perfection, which I do not consider myself to be at. Simply someone who began practicing as a teenager with much appreciation, love & respect for using these arts as another way of nurturing essence, unitive equilibrium, health & awareness while still physically individuated.
I frankly don't care about off-centering assumptions or judgements about what style or practitioner is "better" or this or that silliness. Such a waste of focus that can be, i feel. As long as what we do supports what we want for our lives and respects others for theirs, this is good enough I feel.
Simply deeply enjoy & respect abiding in my own unitive equilibrium & Love wholistically & refining this through practice of these arts. And sharing what I have to offer with those who are interested & feel open to what & how I happen to practice & share them.
Beautiful spontaneous Tai Chi! Excellent.
