Mobula=devil ray.
There are many species - the number of species is debatable, but usually nine is recognised. The only one of them which can weigh a ton is the Mediterranean devilfish, Mobula mobular. They are said to be very difficult to approach during a dive, only the species Mobula tarapacana is somewhat approachable, or so I'm told. Fortunately, It's the second largest, often more than three metres wide. It has a dull greenish brown colour, though. Very oceanic - lives near the Azores.
