By 1965,her voice was far too cultured for the world of pop, although this did reach No 26 in Britain probably because she came over to promote it. I don`t think it was released in the States. Ron Roberts brought it to Connie`s attention.
Her voice made other female singers sound inadequate.

The song was written for Connie by the great british composer Don Black, who wrote other hits and songs for her. He wrote the English words to If I Never Sing Another Song to fit her life story. He is a big fan and admirer of Connie.

I came across this song in 1976 while vacationing in Italy. I bought the record at a little record store in Sicily. It brings back memories of a great vacation back when I was 20 yrs old. Fantastic song, fantastic voice and a fantastic person...That's Connie.
