For god'sa sake do none of you understand the freedom of cinema?. The guy is a superhero, he survived a traincrash that killed every single person on board and he left without a scratch. The point of the benchpress scenes is to show the audience that this guy, without any proper training or serious upper body strength, can lift an incredible weight.
I guess the Batman films are completely unbelieavable 'cause Batman breaks the speed limit in the batmobile?. Open your damn eyes.

you can notice that some of the people here havn't seen the movie, if you see the movie you can understand a bit easier why he can benchpress with that grip and why he can lift so much.
