Ibn Sina is the world's first Arabic Speaking Humanoid Robot, which is being developed at the Interactive Robots and Media Lab (IRML) of the United Arab Emirates University, by a team led by Dr. Nikolaos Mavridis, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology PhD holder. In this video, you can see the robot responsing to questions made by the students in Arabic, by giving answers and performing appropriate motor actions (traditional Arabic nose greeting, handshake etc.). The robot is part of an innovative Interactive Theatre installation, where humans, robots, and virtual worlds co-exist; featured in another video.
