Using a Logitech Scanman 256 as platform for a line following robot. The main PCB has been removed. Only the sensor board with the CCD sensor and the optics remain in the housing. An Atmel Atmega644 is in charge of reading out the CCD sensor which furthermore sends the information to the motor driver board via UART. The moror driver board is also equipped with a Atmel Atmega644 which where a PI-controller for the motors is implemented. Two H-bridges drive the DC-motors.
