  • will this work with a 84 old cutless ,i have one i will be installing some?

  • Yes, It will work if the distributor is driven by the cam gear. The number one position may not be in the same place, and the firing order may be different but the method will work for any 4 cycle engine.

  • how do you set the "original style ignition" points on an original 69 chevy small block after you replace them? Was told the gap should be .036, should this be set while the points are open, or closed?? Thanks alot,, any help would be great , working on this today. Jeff

  • There should be a distributor clamp that holds it down. If you don't have it clamped when you try to start it, the distributor will jump out.

  • i get this much but what hold it down cuz everyttime i turn it over it ju mps out
