Virginia Organizing C-ville Chapter on supervisory and mana

Last night,January 17 Kim Rolla and Thomasine Wilson, both Virginia Organizing chapter members, responded to the Charlottesville City Council about a Career Goals survey that the City of Charlottesville conduced. The survey was given regarding the disparity in the number of city employees of color and the number in supervisory and managerial positions. They asked the council how the City will implement strategy number 1, which states: "Ensure that the City's employee training and development programs support achievement of the City's Diversity Plan's goals and objectives". They also asked for a work session on the issue.
