  • I actually agree with her, cause to better understand what the other person is going through, you have to empathize with them. Especially your children! The Bible says, to mourn with those who mourn, laugh with those who laugh, cry with those who cry etc. Children don't know how to deal with their feelings and how to fix problems, so by us putting ourselves in their shoes, we identify the problem and show them the way to handle it and overcome it.

  • This type of empathy is pretty silly. And you can't put in any extra effort to "teach" it. Whatever you are capable of yourself is what you model.

  • Apathy is NOT caring! It is not a word interchangeable with empathy. The subtitles are wrong on the first couple screens!

  • this is stupid by feeling the same way as another person isn't healthy. if they were feeling bad then you would too, and its not good to be sad just because another person is.

  • im making a lesson plan for empathy and this is realy helping me
