Tom Bowers at Playmakers Theatre - Coates Lecture - 10/15/09

Professor emeritus Tom Bowers stands outside Playmakers Theatre, the location of the first UNC journalism course then known as Smith Hall, and talks about the history of the building. Bowers will deliver the Gladys Coates University History Lecture on Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. in the Pleasants Family Assembly Room in Wilson Library. The lecture is titled "The Origins Of Journalism Education At UNC-Chapel Hill."
