Here is how they got their name, "We actually got our name, "The Gaylords," because Don and Ronnie could grow beards really easy. so we decided we would all three grow beards and call ourselves the "Gay Lords," two words. But the club owner wrote the name in his New Year's Eve ad wrong, putting the two words together, "Gaylords." But we liked it that way, so we left it alone after that. "
