In Japan, many of the traffic lights play songs when it's time to cross (especially in some of the small towns and in Fukuoka aka. Hakata). This, I believe, is an old Scottish song from what I remember, but some of them have traditional Japanese songs. This video was taken in Fukuoka, though the same song could be heard in a town near Mount Fuji.

  • I love this music!!! I'm right here in Fukuoka now,-

  • FUKUOKA-TENJIN?

  • Delightful!

  • I remember hearing this at a stoplight near the Musashi-Mizonokuchi station in Kawasaki. After some digging, I discovered that the melody has a name: 故郷の空 (roughly translated as "My Hometown's Sky").
