@teftae Cziffra.

@bozotheda im by no means a professional, but state some whose technique you think come close to Volodos
-
@teftae you haven't heard many pianists if you think his technique is unmatched
-
@juanm429 Excuse me, I think you forgot Hamelin and Cziffra.
-
@teftae she's only 24. give her a few years to master the german masters and she'll make it for sure
-
@juanm429 And Cziffra?
-
@tys9569 you're not the only one. Among living pianists, Volodos' technique is unmatched. Hamelin actually comes as a close 2nd imo. Yuja is extraordinary but not even close to these two as far as pure technique + musicality + tone combined.

am i the only one that thinks yuja wang is no comparison to volodos
Listen to Volodos playing Scriabin (for example), it is out of this world, so beautiful.
For bombastic pieces like for instance Rach's Italian Polka (and then of course Volodos's transcription) feeling and emotion have to step aside for technical fireworks. It is the meaning of such a piece to be kind of a show.
The wonderful thing about Volodos is that he can do that, while he also has the ability to play so fragile and so colorful. The man is truly amazingly talented, you've got to admit that.

I find your comments very entertaining. try thinking about this: given the fact you are a 51 year old man (not 55, I misread), a musician and a pianist yourself makes it rather amusing to read your ignorant remarks about Arcadi Volodos. And of course you are in a way insulting me which is simply hilarious.
you're a joke. get a life.
