Meet Baby Sawyer & his Mommy Candace.

You can follow Candace & Brett's Adoption Story here:

You can follow Sawyer's Birth Parents Story here:

You can also follow Candace's Youtube page:

I hope that over time we can share our story with the world and educate others on how important breast milk is, and if God has blessed you like my self w/ an abundant supply then there is a reason.... Sawyer is mine. What's yours?

You can donate to Mothers Milk Bank, or privately to someone like Sawyer's family.
-----------------------------------------------------------
At one point in the video ( 4:25 into the video) when I am talking about all the strange requests I received after posting my listing on Craigs List for finding a family to donate breast milk to, one being a lazy mother. I have received a few responses (THREE) of offended Mothers (all of whom formula fed) thinking that this part of the video was discrimination against them because they formula fed. If you choose to formula fed for what ever reason then that is your business. It does not make you a bad mother or a lazy mother. How ever if you want your child to receive breast milk and are too lazy to do it your self when you & your child/pump are capable of doing so and you ask someone else to do it for you then yes you are lazy.

  • I don't think it's weird at all. Mothers back in the day had Nannies for their children and they would feed them. I think someone else's breast milk is still better than formula. :D

  • Omg it is so beautiful what you're doing. so so beautiful. seriously. and IT IS NOT WEIRD to donate milk or to feed your baby with somebody elses milk what IS WEIRD is when somebody doesn't breastfeed their kid when they are able to do it, i understand that somebody can't do it when they have to take medication or they don't produce it but just because '' lifestyle'' come on give a break... I am so proud of women like you that decide to do things so helpful keep it up girl:)

  • @FamilyOfThreeNow Lucy didn't say the WHO was raising your child, she said the WHO recommends mothers to either breastfeed, or somehow obtain breast milk first, with formula as a last resort.

  • I don't get the comment on being a sexual assault survivor--what does that have to do with whether you BF or FF? I'm a sexual assault survivor myself, so I guess I should understand...but I don't...I BF personally, because I figure that if I'm able to, I should. AS a sexual assault survivor, I'm kind of offended that someone brought that up as if people should treat us differently, or with kid gloves...I don't believe in being a victim forever. WHY did that even get MENTIONED???

  • I just watched Candace's new vlog about traveling with breast milk... I am SO TOUCHED by her story adopting Sawyer & you & Jeni donating your milk. I already had a ton of respect for you Lucy, but wow...you are amazing:) You are a beautiful person inside & out! Bless your heart!!

  • I think that is great that she is getting breast milk from any source (as long as it is healthy clean milk of course) but I wonder why she keeps saying that she would if she could? why can't she? because she's never been pregnant? it is not necessary to be pregnant in order to lactate. If she devotes the time into inducing milk she will get milk. Some of the wet nurses back in the days were not mothers themselves. With enough stimulation you will produce it for the demand. look into it.
