Dr. B.J. Hardick teaches in his Maximized Living Makeover that high cholesterol is NOT the cause of heart disease or heart attacks. He also urges patients to understand the numerous dangerous side-effects of cholesterol-lowering medications. www.drhardick.com www.maximizedlivinghealthsite.com www.maximizedlivingdrhardick.com

  • Can you please explain how cholesterol comes through to clean up damage in your arteries? I've always thought that cholesterol causes inflammation. Thanks.

Also I'm wondering what the comment "more death every single year in people who have low cholesterol than have high cholesterol" is supposed to show. This is like saying there are more people who die of non-cancer related illness than people who die of cancer... so cancer isn't important? Please elaborate! Thanks!

  • @Azel247 great question ... The thorn in the side of the statin manufacturers is that while their drugs are proven to lower cholesterol, they aren't proven to be effective in preventing heart attacks or mortality. In fact, your body needs cholesterol as its healing agent when there is damage in the arterial system. That's why the simple lowering of cholesterol is not ever shown to reduce heart disease or deaths. It's all based on the lipid hypothesis, which IS after all, a HYPOTHESIS only

  • @agreatbigloser Acording to Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes, a high Triglyceries with a low HDL can be an indicator of heart disease. Sugar (Honey, sugar, molasses, dexatrose, etc.) causes heart disease.

  • @rpmpowerm Sugar

  • @bjhardick

Found an awesome continuing ed that trains on what to do about the 60% Residual Risk users of statins - their cholesterol is now low but they are still having attacks - so goal start manipulating the HDL chemically to try to force it upwards. Likely guinea pig will still be kept on the statin at the same time . I could be wrong I dozed a bit, it's long. .HDL-C in the Spotlight: Modulating CETP to Reduce Cardiovascular Risk, moderator, John Chapman, link on statin article, Gingerjens

  • If cholesterol does not cause heart disease, what does?

  • Does a high level of Triglycerides cause heart disease?
