Hypercam is only capable of recording into avi. wmv. and .asf files. Fraps uses the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Codec which is inevitably: superior.

Actually you don't have to render the video you can just copy it straight into movie maker to edit, when you hit the stop button it's done, thats it. i only got about 10-15 fps with fraps but i think thats b/c my pc specs aren't in tune with modern pc's.

Hypercam 3 record differently from Fraps and it's not fun having to have the video "rendered" in HC3 after 2-3 hrs of nonstop recording.

Fraps only recorded low fps on my pc. i now use hypercam 3 and it's better :)
