This wild bird is a regular visitor to our garden. He will often sing quietly like this for 15 to 20 minutes, mixing his own song with any of the local bush sounds he hears that interest him. He is a gentle, friendly creature who seems to enjoy human company from time to time. Listen carefully for the kookaburra imitation at 0:50.

  • I'mn glad I found yor videos, but that Magpie looks female and not male.

If I'm wrong please let me know and why.

I called Shrikey, my little wild Grey Shrike-Thrush friend, a bloke for nearly 2 years,.,all over youtube on many many videos.

Check us out on by just typing Shrikey frozzytoobz.

My favourite wild magpie visitor is named Crippy.

Crippy perches on my arm, walks about on my laptop and eats from my gob. She's a remarkable bird that flies onto my arm from 100's of metres away

  • I love it when they do that. Sitting there for ages, on one leg, burbling away. Might be one of the cutest things you'll hear. Your right about the Kooky bit at 0:50. Amazing birds!

  • Sweet song
